Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper) is an independent public research institution established by the Government of Slovenia, employing 145 staff members. Over 30 years, it has developed a strong international network and has extensive involvement in European research projects. ZRS Koper’s interdisciplinary work includes research, expert studies, education, and project management support. Within ZRS Koper, the Institute for Oliveculture (IZO) promotes olive cultivation in Slovenia and is recognized by Slovenia’s Ministry of Agriculture as the national coordinator for olive culture, while the Institute of Behavioural Economics (IBE) examines how decision-making influences adaptation to societal changes.
ZRS Koper is the Lead partner of Work Package 7 (WP7): “Dissemination, Knowledge Exchange and Capacity Building”. WP7 aims to enhance project uptake and impact by communicating and disseminating results to key stakeholders, the scientific community, and the general public; promoting the project’s objectives regionally; fostering adoption of sustainable water management practices; and enhancing partner skills in water-accounting-related topics. ZRS Koper will collaborate actively with media outlets to share the project’s main findings.

Roberto Biloslavo
ZRS Koper EMPOWERMed partner lead / scientific & WP7 oversight
Dr Roberto Biloslavo is a senior researcher at ZRS Koper, serving as Scientific Counsellor and Acting Head of the Institute for Behavioural Economics. His academic background includes a BSc in Mechanical Engineering (1992), an MSc (1997) and a PhD (2003) from the University of Ljubljana (Faculty of Economics). Academic leadership role at EMUNI (Euro-Mediterranean University). His work relates to understanding decision-making under volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, and translating behavioural insights into practical solutions for societal and organisational challenges.

Ana Šajn
Financial manager and administrative/project management support for ZRS Koper’s EMPOWERMed work
Ana Šajn is Head of the Centre for Project Management at ZRS Koper. The Centre serves as ZRS Koper’s organisational hub for EU and other international/national projects, supporting project ideation, application development, administrative process management, implementation quality, and capitalisation of project results and knowledge. Project Financial Manager (OPEN BORDERS (ERC), with experience in statistical analysis and professional HR (strategic planning, performance management, training and development), and with more than a decade of involvement in Erasmus, Horizon and Interreg projects.

Albert Kravos
Technical support contribution
Albert Kravos works at ZRS Koper with research interests including the development of innovative methods, analytical chemistry and chemometrics, and the application of advanced analytical techniques and statistical modelling. His educational background includes a chemistry degree (University of Trieste, 2013) and an MSc in sustainable energy and biofuels (DTU, 2017), with additional courses trainings.
