The Society for Water, Irrigation and Environmental Management (SWIEM) is a public NGO established in 2021 under the Jordanian Ministry of Environment. The Society brings together highly qualified experts in soil and water engineering, modeling, climate change, computer science, and applied chemistry. SWIEM’s work focuses on water resources management, irrigation development, environmental protection, climate-resilient agriculture, and scientific research. In the project, SWIEM contributes technical expertise in water management, modeling, climate adaptation, and stakeholder engagement.

Majed Abu-Zreig

Prof. Majed Abu-Zreig, Team Leader

Professor of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering with over 27 years of academic and international research experience. His expertise includes water resources management, arid-land hydrology, irrigation, water diplomacy, and climate change. In this project, he provides scientific leadership, methodological guidance, and oversight of SWIEM’s technical contributions.

Ayat Al-Qudah

Ayat Al-Qudah, Project Researcher

Ayat Al-Qudah holds an MSc in Natural Resources & Environment with specialization in soil, water, and climate change vulnerability assessment. She has extensive experience in water and agriculture management, the WEFE nexus, climate adaptation, and research through her work at the Water Diplomacy Center.
